Welcome Jim Ellis, P.E.

Jim EllisThe bench is a bit deeper at MMS these days. We're happy to be growing and pleased to welcome Jim Ellis, P.E. to our staff.

Jim brings more than 20 years of engineering experience to the team. He graduated with his bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Washington State University in 1994. He is a member of ASCE and licensed in the state of Iowa since 2001.

Jim's professional area of expertise is drawn from considerable experience with road design. He was a 7-year member of the Waterloo Highway 218 Design Review Board and a member of the Main Street Waterloo Board from 2006 to 2012. He's also completed a number of residential and commercial developments and was Associate Engineer for the City of Waterloo from 1995 - 2000.

In recent years, he completed the preliminary design of the 110-lot subdivision (Kiefer Addition) in Waterloo, a 33-lot subdivision for the City of Traer and the Geraldine Road Extension Project (Phase 3) in Waterloo.

Jim's experience, skill and sense of humor are a welcome addition to the MMS family!
